First Week of Work
This week was my first week working at Eataly. It has been a very different experience, but it is improving more and more each day. The first day Brian and I stood outside for the majority of the day, targeting Americans on the street, handing out fliers for Beer Fest 2016. We pulled in a few customers but mostly it was Italians asking us questions and us being confused due to the language barrier. Something I frequently notice at Eataly, and in Italy in general is that they do not have open container laws, so everyone can casually drink in the store (and on the streets), which is something very different than in the United States. Brian and I should soon be working on their Instagram and on a little bit of their Facebook. I am very excited to really dive into working on this, as it is something I am highly interested in. However, we must also translate our posts into Italian, so it is quite a process. Aside from work, our family of eight has been exploring Italy together. We have gone to Milan and to Cinque Terre so far, and plan to go even more places! Follow us on Instagram and Facebook at Eataly Firenze!
