Trasporti

We just finished our first week of our experience and it was great. The first days on the internship were great but I really enjoyed the trips that we went on. Our first trip was made as a class field trip to Milano where we went to compare the American and Italian style restaurants. The main topic I would like to discuss in this post is the difference in transportation. In the United States the primary mode of transportation is driving by personal car. In Europe one of the most popular way of traveling is by train. There are two main types of trains are the regional and high speed. We took the high speed train from Florence to Milan. The trip took only an hour and a half when it would have been nearly 3 hours by car. We took the regional train to Cinque Terre on a trip that we all took for fun. The regional train took a little longer but it was much more enjoyable because we were able to spend time with each other and enjoy the longer trip. I have been on many different trains and for longer trips I have came to love them. I have always loved to travel; here the trains make it easy and cheap but we don't have the same luxury in the states. I'm looking forward to traveling to more places while I am here.
