Engaging Title!
This week in Florence has by far been one of the best. Best experiences, best food, and best days of work. Work is not dragging on anymore, as we've truly started to enjoy our positions at Eataly. The highlight was helping coordinate a tasting event for the Kent State study abroad group. About 15 students came in and tried various cheeses, meats, honeys, jams, olive oils, and balsamic vinegars. Although a small handful of students did not seem to care, it was a successful event and we have more events in the future. Our travels continued outside of Florence as well this week. We visited Monterosso and Riomaggiore to enjoy the beautiful weather, something we have been lacking in Florence. Definitely the highlight of the day was kayaking in the sea. It was breathtaking seeing the views from the ocean. We also found many small caverns while kayaking and also discovered a secluded swimming hole, complete with a waterfall! Also while we were there, I probably had my favorite meal in Florence hands down. It was an absolutely succulent filet of swordfish that i would not mind eating everyday for the rest of my life. Although I am loving Florence, I am very excited to leave the country soon. Stay tuned!!!
