The Upside From The Bad Week

After being sick for awhile, I am finally starting to feel better. It was perfect timing to start getting better because I went on a trip to Roma this week. What a trip Roma was for me. We got in on Tuesday morning and left Wednesday night; and in the short amount of time we saw everything. We went to Vatican City and saw Saint Peter's Square, the Pope speak, and the Sisten Chapel. We also saw Castle Sant'Angelo, Pantheon, Sant'Eustachino, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, the Colosseum, Temple of Venus and Rome, and the Forum. Seeing the pope speak and getting to make a wish at the Trevi Fountain were once in a life time opportunities. I never thought we would have the chance to experience that. After we saw everything, we decide to wonder around because we had some extra time. We ended up finding a cat sanctuary in some place that burnt down. They changed it into a place where stray cats can hang around a play. The people who run this cat sanctuary give the stray cats there shots and feed them when needed. Roma was full of surprises and history. I wish I would have done more research before going but I learned a lot of things I did not know about. I can not wait to see what else I can learn when I go to Paris next week.
