Amsterdam!

This week started off with a tasting at Eataly! All eight of us plus some of the Kent State Florence Institute tasted jams, meat, honey, cheese, bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Liz helped to lead the tasting so it was fun to see what she does at work! It was interesting and fun to learn about where each of the items come from and to taste what paired together.

Sanja, Brian, Liz, Garrett and I traveled to Amsterdam this week! Although rainy and cold, Amsterdam is one of the prettiest cities. We did not let the rain stop us and visited as many sites in the city as we possibly could. These sites included the Anne Frank house, participated in the Heineken experience the Van Gogh museum, the Red Light District, IAMSTERDAM and took a canal cruise throughout the city. Amsterdam is one place I cannot wait to visit again!!

This week is fourth of July and we have planned to make gelato in the morning and head to Cinque Terre for the day! Its hard to believe that we only have one more week in Florence, it sure has gone by fast!
